This book contains abstracts of all contributions presented during the first Open Source
Geospatial Research Symposium (OGRS) that was held in Nantes City, France, from
July 8th to 10th, 2009. As a hub for the exchange of knowledge, ideas and trends in the fields
of Geospatial information and Geoinformatics, it demonstrates the dynamism of
communities related to open source and free software for defining new concepts, standards
and tools so as to put them together to propose new methodologies. In this regard, this book
covers manifold topics, mainly in the context of substainable development, from research
projects to operationnal implementations : spatial hydrology, remote sensing, cartography,
webmapping, standards, mobility and logistics.
