Nicodemus was a temple teacher in the Jewish establishment mentioned just three times in the Bible. He sought Jesus, he defended Jesus, and he assisted in Jesus's burial. Even though the religious establishment rejected Jesus, Nicodemus took a keen interest.
There has to be a story here. This book fictionalizes different approaches and efforts Nicodemus may have used to discover the truth about Jesus. In addition, there had to be unpleasant confrontations with the Jewish religious establishment.
This book also emphasizes Nicodemus's perspective of the mission, death, burial, and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ and what occurred in the establishment of the early Church. Also, a more detailed account is given as to what motivated Judas Iscariot to betray our Lord.
It is not my intention to change scriptures in any way. Rather, this story is built around the scriptures.
