Lei Lei est né en 1985 à Nanchang en Chine et a fait ses études à Pékin à l'université de Tsinghua. Illustrateur, graffeur, rappeur, animateur, cet artiste touche-à-tout a vite obtenu la reconnaissance des grands festivals d'animation dont Ottawa (Canada) en 2010 pour This is Love, Annecy (France) et Utrecht (Hollande) pour Recycled sa première collaboration avec Thomas Sauvin en 2013 pour lequel ils ont obtenu le Grand prix du court métrage du Haff.

Thomas Sauvin est né en 1983. Il vit et travaille entre Paris et Pékin depuis le début des années 2000. Artiste, collectionneur, il possède plus d'un demi million de négatifs collectés et rassemblés sous le nom de « Beijing Silvermine » qu'il classe, étudie, analyse et détourne. Ces images sont issues du quotidien d'anonymes. Elles immortalisent des moments heureux et documentent la Chine de la seconde moitié du XX^e siècle.

Lei Lei was born in 1985 in Nanchang (China). After his studies at the Tsinghua University in Beijing, this multi-talented illustrator, graffiti artist, rappeur and animator was quick to gain recognition at major animation festivals including Ottawa (Canada) in 2010 for This is Love, Annecy (France) and Utrecht (Holland) for Recycled, his first collaboration with Thomas Sauvin, in 2013, where they were awarded the Grand Prix for non-narrative shorts at the Holland Animation Film Festival.

Thomas Sauvin was born in 1983. For the early 2000s he has divided his time between Paris and Beijing, working as an artist, collector.

He has assembled over half a million negatives under the name « Beijing Silvermine, » classifying and studying them and putting them to new use. These images reflect the daily lives of anonymous people ; they are family photographs that capture happy moments and record life in China of the second half of the 20th century.
