Du 6 au 14 juin 1944, en Normandie, le sort du monde va se jouer. Cette première phase décisive du débarquement conduira les alliés des plages du débarquement jusqu'à l'enlisement devant Caen. Les alliés réussiront-ils leur incroyable pari : Etablir une tête de pont en Normandie pour vaincre l'Allemagne nazie ?

Les soldats ont laissé sur le champ de bataille coiffures et équipements personnels qui nous racontent aujourd'hui l'Histoire. Chaque coiffure a une histoire, chaque coiffure se rattache à un lieu et un moment du débarquement. C'est aussi l'histoire de ces hommes, ces soldats anonymes, leur rencontre avec les grands moments du débarquement. Grace aux insignes et aux marquages spécifiques qui ont été peints pour le D Day et la bataille de Normandie, nous pouvons resituer ces objets dans leur lieu et leur contexte historique. Forgotten objects : military headdresses of the landing

The determining phase of the landing, from 6th june to 14 june 1944, told trough military headdress.

From the 6th to the 14th of June 1944, the world's destiny will be decided in Normandy. This first determining phase of the Landing will take the Allies from the Normand beaches to an impasse in the city of Caen. At this moment, the question is : Will they succeed in the incredible bet of setting up a bridgehead in Normandy to defeat the Nazies ?

The soldiers have left on the battlefield heagears and personnal equipments that today tell us about History. Each headgear has its own story, linked to a place and a moment of the Landing

It is also the story of men, anonymous soldiers, and their meeting with the highlights of the Landing of Normandy.

Through the emblems, the specific markings painted ont the Dday and the battle of Normandy, we are now able too situate those objects in their places and their historical context. These abandonned witnesses of the combats will make you experience again the highlights of the Landing
