La obra de Miguel Fuentes del Olmo fue pionera en la introducción del informalismo en las artes plásticas de Andalucía. Su colaboración con el arquitecto José Jiménez Jimena en la obra protagonista del presente libro contribuyó a erigir un icono de la creación artística del siglo XX en Jaén y a renovar el panorama estético de la ciudad. Los murales monumentales en hormigón armado expuestos a pie de calle constituyen un hito en la manifestación pública de la abstracción escultórica, que se complementa con las pinturas y cerámicas del interior.The work of Miguel Fuentes del Olmo was a pioneer in the introduction of Informalism into the plastic arts in Andalusia. His collaboration with the architect José Jiménez Jimena in the work studied in this book contributed to establishing an icon of 20th century artistic creation in Jaén and to renewing the aesthetic panorama of the city. The monumental murals in reinforced concrete displayed at street level are a milestone in the public manifestation of sculptural abstraction, complemented by the inside paintings and ceramics.
