La chapelle, espace d'art contemporain

La programmation de La chapelle de la Visitation de Thonon-les-Bains s'inscrit pleinement dans le contexte d'une politique artistique globale de la ville. D'automne 2018 à l'été 2024, six saisons se sont écoulées, vingt-deux expositions et trente artistes exposés. Peinture, dessin, sculpture, photographie, vidéo, installation, wall drawing, etc., la programmation s'est attachée à mettre en exergue la plupart des formes et des protocoles mis en oeuvre par les artistes de sorte à être en écho avec le monde comme il va. Toutes générations et cultures confondues, à l'exemple, d'une part, de ces figures aînées de renommée internationale que sont le Britannique David Hockney, Sarkis, d'origine arménienne, et Valère Novarina, un enfant du pays, et, d'autre part, de Christelle Téa, de Guillaume Talbi ou de Maxime Duveau, la trentaine à peine ou pas encore entamée.

The programme at La chapelle de la Visitation in Thonon-les-Bains is fully in line with the town's overall arts policy. From autumn 2018 to summer 2024, there were six seasons of exhibitions, 22 exhibitions and 30 artists on show. Painting, drawing, sculpture, photography, video, installation, wall drawing, etc. - the programme has been designed to draw attention to the forms and protocols used by artists in order to reflect the world as it is. All generations and cultures are represented, with internationally renowned older artists such as the British artist David Hockney, Sarkis, of Armenian origin, and Valère Novarina, a native of the region, on the one hand, and Christelle Téa, Guillaume Taibi and Maxime Duveau, in their late twenties to early thirties, on the other.
