Awena Cozannet

Awena Cozannet est une artiste plasticienne née en 1974 en Bretagne. Elle vit et travaille à Romans-sur-lsère. Elle est représentée par la galerie Françoise Besson à Lyon. Formée à la communication (DNAP à Rennes en 1996) et à l'illustration en Belgique et à Strasbourg (DNSEP en 2000), elle complète ses études par une formation de Piqueur en maroquinerie en 2016 à Romans-sur-lsère.

Eléments naturels, manufacturés et industriels se côtoient dans ses oeuvres, témoins marqueurs d'une époque ou d'une production géographique. Que ce soit en dessin, en sculpture ou lors de ses performances, ses oeuvres de lignes assemblées s'incarnent et appellent au corps, au changement d'état, à la traversée des frontières qu'elles soient géographiques ou culturelles.

Visual artist Awena Cozannet was born in 1974 in Brittany. She lives and works in Romans-sur-lsère, and is represented by the Galerie Françoise Besson in Lyon. Trained in communication (DNAP in Rennes in 1996) and illustration (DNSEP in Belgium and Strasbourg in 2000), she completed her studies in 2016 by learning to stitch leather in Romans-sur-lsère. Natural, manufactured and industrial elements coexist in her works, markers of an era or geographical production. The lines she assembles in her drawings, sculptures and performances become incarnate, appealing to the body, to a change of state, to the crossing of geographical or cultural borders.
