It gives me immense pleasure to handover this book to readers. Failure of Dalits of India to garner visible overall progress even in the 75 years of independence daunted my mind and I decided to study overall successes, failures and shortcomings, that hampered real social liberation, economic and political independence of Dalits. All agendas for their liberation and independence through Constitution, Governments, Dalit leaders measurably failed to make impact. Caste discrimination, atrocities, human rights violations, economic exploitation and political slavery all are at high rate. There have been revolts against Hindu oppressive caste system since ancient times that continues in twenty first century. Hence, to change the mind set of Dalits towards their liberation, developing their self-confidence, self-respect and self-sustenance strong enough to create not only a strong society but a strong developed nation, the India, viable and practical remedies have been evolved. My own experience as a born Dalit, educated in village, town, cities, metropolis in India for obtaining ten academic degrees and then my exposure to the world helped me to understand the psyche of Dalits closely.
