Soybean [Glycine max (L.) Merrill] is considered to be a miracle crop because of its dual qualities viz., high protein content and oil. Sulphur as secondary plant nutrient is becoming increasingly important in agriculture as it is the "Master Nutrient" for all oilseed crops and pulses and is rightly being called the "Forth Major Plant Nutrient", along with nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium.
