Im Mittelpunkt steht die spirituelle Suche, die durch Reisen einen Katalysator findet, jedoch dadurch auch die Aushandlung (negotiation) von Zugehörigkeit (belonging) und Heimat bewirkt.
Die Texte in diesem Band sind an verschiedenen Orten dieser Welt entstanden. Am Mekong Fluss in Laos, in der Plattenbausiedlung in Leipzig, in Kambodscha und Indonesien, im Regionalzug von Eisleben nach Halle. Im Dschungel von Malaysia und in der Ringbahn in Berlin. In der kleinen Dachgeschosswohnung meiner Großeltern oder in meinem Büro an der Universität. Die Texte erzählen von der Suche nach der spirituellen Heimat im grauen Winter in Berlin und in der tropischen Hitze Südostasiens.
The texts included in this volume of poems are a selection of my past fifteen years. They tell of the rhythm of life and of the changes life brings. They focus on spiritual search finding its catalyst by traveling. However, at the same time, this process also results in the negotiation of belonging and homeland.
The texts included in this volume were written in various places around the world. On the Mekong River in Laos, in the prefabricated housing estate in Leipzig, in Cambodia and Indonesia, on the regional train from Eisleben to Halle. In the jungle of Malaysia and in the circular railway in Berlin. In the small attic apartment of my grandparents or in my university office. These texts tell of the search for a spiritual homeland during the grey Berlin winter and in the tropical heat in Southeast Asia.
