Vingt-cinq ans après la publication de son livre, « Le Génocide franco-français : la Vendée-Vengé », Reynald Secher, grâce à la découverte aux Archives nationales de documents totalement inédits, démontre, preuves à l'appui, que le génocide de la Vendée a bien été conçu, voté et mis en oeuvre personnellement par les membres du Comité de salut public et par la Convention, et que l'armée et l' administration n'ont fait qu'exécuter les ordres. Afin d'échapper à leurs responsabilités et de masquer la logique idéologique et politique qui menait inéluctablement la République jacobine au génocide, ces criminels et leurs héritiers politiques ont nié les faits, imposé à la nation leur auto-amnistie et une impunité générale. Ils ont ainsi perpétré un second crime, celui de mémoricide, qui, par un renversement pervers, a désigné les victimes vendéennes comme bourreaux et transformé les bourreaux jacobins en victimes. À ce premier scandale s'en est ajouté un second : ces bourreaux ont bénéficié de toutes les faveurs et des honneurs de l'État, tandis que les victimes et leurs descendants, traumatisés, ont été réduits au silence et en permanence persécutés, se retrouvant ainsi exclus d'une citoyenneté qui leur revenait de droit. -- Twenty-five years after the publication of his book, ‘A French Genocide: the Vendée', Reynald Secher, thanks to the discovery of never-before-published documents in the National Archives, and armed with proof, demonstrates how the Vendean genocide was well and truly conceived, voted and personally implemented by the members of the Committee of Public Safety and the National Convention, and that the army and the authorities were simply carrying out orders.. In order to deny their responsibility and conceal the ideological and political logic that inevitably led the Jacobin Republic to genocide, the criminals and their political heirs denied the facts and imposed a self-amnesty and general impunity on the nation. In this way they perpetrated a second crime: that of ‘memoricide', which, by a pernicious reversal, designated the Vendean victims as executioners and transformed the Jacobin executioners into victims. To this first scandal was added a second: these executioners were awarded all the favours and honours of the State, whereas the traumatised victims and their descendants were reduced to silence and permanently persecuted , thus being excluded from a citizenship that was theirs by right.
