Omschrijving

After experiencing the trauma of sensing her parents and unborn brother die in an explosion, Zirda was left without the connection a deep empath needed to thrive. Losing his closest friends, the Strike Master sent his mother to support Zirda during her grieving period. But Traxan was the one who bonded with her and supported her even as he couldn't risk exposing her to his world.
When she was attacked by two male Erix, she was left blind and without her memory. Riddled with guilt that he couldn't prevent the attack, he took her home to recover and keep her safe from future attacks.
Zirda then learns the truth about her parents and their work for the Strike Master to look after other empaths who were the victims of Erix's attacks. The biggest surprise is Traxan himself and how he works with the hunters and their empathic mates to protect the women of Plythea.
A rare solar conjunction was imminent, increasing the risk of Erix attacks on the population. Working together to devise a plan to limit the fallout, Zirda and Traxan forge a different kind of partnership.
Despite her happiness, things go wrong, and Zirda decides to leave and visit her family on Xa'an while she sorts through her feelings.
With a broken heart, Zirda finds refuge with the Ancient Magicians' order to train as a healer. But her mating mark doesn't heal despite multiple attempts by the experienced healers.
Traxan is injured during the battle, and his wound doesn't heal. But it gets worse when he starts to weaken and nearly dies.
The Ancients help the young couple as a last resort, but their attempts can only work if Zirda and Traxan set aside their issues.
More attacks, incompatible magic, and a traitor in their midst continue to threaten their lives and their relationship.
