The story of Charlotte Sparrow is not a fairy tale. Then, she finds herself in the Black Forest, where she is confronted by a well-dressed wolf and an articulate squirrel dictator. She is brought before the Forest Council, hunted by the Queen s Guards, attacked by forest fairies, giants, and a white witch, before encountering quicksand and stumbling into the Sour Swamps.
