Fourteen-year-old Kaylee O'Shay is chosen to dance in the team competition at the Midwest Championships of Irish Dance known as the Oireachtas. When she gets her first real job at a horse farm at almost the same time, she can hardly believe her luck. As the big competition nears, Kaylee discovers that she does not have enough time to care for the horses and properly prepare for the dance championships.
