However, it requires a large commitment to eating natural foods, removing temptation, and cooking regular meals. Of course, like with any diet stay well hydrated, and moderate exercise will go a long way!

And the good thing about the Mediterranean diet is that since it's balanced, you can work it into any eating situation. You can even go bad or "cheat" on occasion because the diet does not specifically restrict entire food groups. If you are following a radical diet like the keto diet, once slice of bread will ruin your entire diet. You have to make a scene when going out to eat with others since you cannot touch a carbohydrate. This isn't the case with the Mediterranean diet. You don't even have to tell anyone you're following it, it's a healthy version of normal eating.

Furthermore, it is my hope that you enjoy all the healthy recipes in this book. There's no shortage of meals you can enjoy on a Mediterranean diet. Having said that, the next step is to experiment with the different recipes.
