Francis wants his stories to make the world kinder-but people seem to prefer fast-paced fun. Disheartened when his books are ignored and discarded, he leaves town and climbs into the mountains to visit Erasmus, an old friend who lives simply with his goats. Francis builds a small hut nearby, hoping that silence and nature will calm his mind.
