Vincent van Gogh, a Dutch painter, was one of the most outstanding artists of the 19th century. He loved life, but suffered setbacks and hardships in life. He devoted himself to art and made bold innovations. On the basis of extensively learning from the predecessor painter Rembrandt and others, he absorbed the experience of Impressionist painters in color, and was influenced by Oriental art, especially Japanese printmaking, and formed his own unique artistic style. He created many works full of passion for life and humanitarian spirit, which showed the depression, sadness, sympathy and hope in his heart.
