Imagine that a Martian visits our planet. Studying the Bible, he finds that a great part of humanity worships a being as God that orders his followers to exterminate entire nations, and that threatens them, in case of disloyalty, to oppress them in such a way that they will be compelled to eat their own children. What will this Martian think of us? He will think that he has landed on a planet of dangerous lunatics, of Devil-worshippers, and, terrified, he will board his flying saucer, and fly away as soon as possible.
