This story is the first in a series of five stories revolving around a little girl, Shelby and her two best friends, her dogs Lucy and Harley. Shelby starts her adventure after the rain keeps her from playing outside. The book promotes kids using their imagination to create adventures for themselves. This first story is a pirate story where the three adventurers hunt for treasure in the house (her moms jewelry box) as they battle the high seas and pirates on their journey. The illustrations combine actual rooms and Shelby's imagination together. The other stories include a trip to outer space and the defense of a castle. There are 6 stories in all.
