Walter Tinner considers himself the world's greatest tenor -- an opinion that others might disagree with. When he comes to visit his dear cousin Amber and her husband, he discovers that she is part of a small-town opera society putting on a production of Pietro Mascagni's L'amico Fritz. Try as he might to get out of it, he winds up not only giving advice to the participants, but singing the lead role -- for an amateur company! If that weren't bad enough, the members of the opera society start being murdered.
