College sweethearts Liam and Olivia land a dream internship at Sterling Enterprises, only to find their boss is the beautiful and predatory heiress, Seraphina Sterling. Seraphina immediately targets Olivia, initiating a cruel game of dominance. On their first day, she engineers a situation that ends with Olivia being forced to go without her underwear, a secret act of humiliation that awakens a strange thrill. When a protective Liam wants to quit, Olivia persuades him to stay, reframing Seraphina's harassment as a corporate test they must pass, thus beginning her manipulation of him.

The teasing escalates under the guise of work tasks. Olivia is commanded to pick up a dropped pen in a revealing squat and is subjected to a new "uniform policy" of sleeveless tops. After Seraphina intentionally spills tea on Olivia, she forces her to change into one of her own more revealing skirts, marking her as a possession. Seraphina expands her audience by adding two other young female analysts to their team, turning her private games public. The final breaking point occurs during a major presentation. Seraphina forces Olivia to kneel in a corner and clean a non-existent smudge on her skirt while Liam is forced to continue speaking. When another analyst tries to intervene, Seraphina icily declares, "No one touches my things." This shatters Liam. In a quiet, heartbreaking confrontation, he tells Olivia he no longer knows her and emotionally withdraws from their relationship. Left alone with her tormentor, Olivia is fully claimed by a triumphant Seraphina, who dismisses Liam as a weight she no longer needs to carry.
