Angeline is once again living with her mother, but has been in and out of the foster-care system her whole life. After another incident, she is placed with a new foster family, and has the opportunity to see the positive side of family. Sadly, she is placed with her mother a final time, with mixed results. Her mother's behavior is unpredictable, but she finds a new ally. The one person in her current living situation who has her back. Continuing to seek the positive in her life, she begins a new school and makes a few new friends. She struggles with her mother's unpredictability and inability to care for her own daughter. Angeline wishes for a different family life, but is helpless to change her future without some support.
