La idea de este cuento bilingüe nació en el Primer Festival Literario Internacional de Gibraltar. Carmen asistió al encuentro invitada para participar en el apartado «voces de España» y Gail estaba a cargo de organizar algunas visitas turísticas. En un momento determinado, la visita terminó en una galería de arte donde Gail exponía algunos cuadros suyos. Aquella pintura de formas sencillas y colores puros y brillantes llamó la atención a Carmen, que hacía mucho tiempo que buscaba una imagen para unos personajes infantiles que esperaban en un cajón el momento de poder salir al mundo. De aquel encuentro surgió un flechazo por el arte de cada una y una relación que ha dado su primer fruto en este Silvina tiene un plan. Esperamos que sea el primero de muchos.The idea of this bilingual story was born in the First International Literary Festival of Gibraltar. Carmen attended, invited to participate in the «voices from Spain» section, where Gail was in charge of organizing some sightseeing tours. At one point, the tour stopped in an art gallery where Gail had an exhibition of some of her paintings. Those pure and simple paintings, full of bright colours caught Carmen¿s attention. For a long time she has been looking for an image to bring the children's characters she kept in a drawer to life. From that meeting emerged the love of each other¿s art and the relationship that has born its first fruit with Silvina has a plan.We truly hope it will be the first of many to come.
