This book of poems was written by Miss Pegram who was born and reared on a farm. She has written this collection by drawing inspiration from her life which has been a story of struggle, self-sacrifice, and perfect devotion to those near and dear. Her parents died when she was young and she took responsibility for her two little sisters and their home in the country where they were deprived of a liberal education. But she grew to be true, noble and good. She always remained hopeful that God's sun would cast the warmest rays upon her and those she loves and he permitted her to write these poems for the support for her and her sisters.
