Investors can invest directly in physical real estates or choose to invest indirectly in home ownership savings clubs. Empowering directly in real estate involves purchasing the residential or commercial property to use as an income-producing property or for resale at a future time. Indirect ways of investing in the real estates market include real estate investments trusts (REITs), real estate exchange traded funds (ETFs), and infrastructure funds. Due to the higher liquidity available in the market results to low transaction costs and capital requirements hence average investors prefer to indirectly invest in real estate. The study sought to investigate the factors affecting real estate investment in Kenya.
