Ester is an up-and-coming concert trumpeter and a future winner of the Nobel Prize in Chemistry … in her dreams. But at least she has clear goals and the work ethic to make her dreams a reality. In order to succeed, she must stay focused and maintain her honor roll status as both a university scholarship and her perfect career are at stake. The class trip to Mt. Kenya is a distraction she neither wants nor needs. Hyperthermia, mountain sickness, exhausting hikes and blisters? No, thanks.
Sadly, no one else shares this opinion. Worse still, she must conduct a research project on the mountain's environmental issues with students who aren't taking the assignment seriously. Fortunately, she's used to completing group reports on her own. Unfortunately, she picked the Queen of Elephants, and it has different ideas about what Ester needs.
After the elephant causes chaos and confusion up, down and around the mountain, Ester has had enough. She wants the peculiar pachyderm out of her life and back in its card. The elephant agrees on one condition. Ester must work with her friends on the assignment without insisting on any of her own ideas.
Supporting other people's views and encouraging consultation is the only way to free herself of the elephant in the cabin. It's also a guaranteed path to a bad grade which she can't afford. But as Ester and her friends struggle with the mountain and with each other, the weather changes drastically for the worst. When heavy fog separates her group from the rest of the class, Ester will need to trust her friends and value their diverse views if they have any hope of surviving the night and completing their research.
Continue your adventure that's Chronicles of Narnia meets Jumanji in Kenya.
