Il y a une imprimerie typographique rue Audry de Puyravault, à Rochefort-sur-Mer, depuis au moins cent ans.. Nous l'avons reprise en 2008, et perpétuons cette technique d'impression, introduite en Occident par Gutenberg au 15e siècle et aujourd'hui presque disparue. Son rendu d'une qualité particulière tient à l'utilisation de caractères mobiles en plomb et de vignettes en cuivre, agencés à la main pour chaque travail, et imprimés en relief sur des presses maintenant d'un âge vénérable, mais toujours vaillantes.
