Ancienne élève des Arts décoratifs, l’artiste et designer française poursuit depuis les années 2000 une pratique pluridisciplinaire où les relations entre artisanat, culture populaire, art non occidental et art contemporain se tissent joyeusement série après série.

With this series of drawings and paintings centered around the palm tree motif, Caroline Rennequin reveals her empathy for nature. Using gouache or acrylic on paper or canvas, she creates a fictional nature with unreal colors and shapes that opens up new perspectives. A former student of Decorative Arts, the French artist and designer has been pursuing a multidisciplinary practice since the 2000s, joyfully weaving together the relationships between craftsmanship, popular culture, non-Western art, and contemporary art in series after series.
