At the same time, it introduces you to an important period of garden art from the end of the 18th century. The monument with the colossal Germania is also located on the grounds of the historical park forest. It takes you back to an eventful epoch in German history, as a result of which a nation state was founded. Subsequently, many meaningful monuments were erected in the German Empire. The Niederwald Monument proclaims the political messages of that era.
