Omschrijving

Mabel Takes the Ferry, a true story, was first published in 1995. The book was honored and included in the Camden Maine Library's Children's Garden sculpture as one of Maine's most notable children's books. This book is there along with books such as Charlottes Web, and Make Way for Ducklings.

Mabel, a canine summer resident of the island of Islesboro, took an unauthorized ferry trip off island to the mainland while her family went sailing. She ended up at a lobster restaurant and needed rescuing by her family via sailboat at midnight, which is what she wanted all along - to go sailing.
