This is the 10th Anniversary Edition of Edouard d'Araille's classic work of romantic poetry 'LOVE IMMORTAL', originally released in 2015 as 'Love Immortal: La Poésie de l'Amour'. It has been completely revised for this new 'Gothic Edition' for 2025.

'LOVE IMMORTAL', on its release in 2015, was the first volume that drew together all the romantic verses of contemporary poet Edouard d'Araille from more than half a dozen works published over a 17-year period, including poems from verse cycles 'In a Short Space of Time', 'Out of these Eyes', 'Ground Zero', 'The Lost Verse', 'Words Can't Hold...' et al.

However, 'Love Immortal' is in itself a new verse cycle, which leads its readers on a 3-stage journey through the phenomenon of Love, including specially commissioned poetic works by Edouard d'Araille.

Classic works of romantic poetry featured in this unique anthology include: 'You I do not know', 'The Kiss of the Naked', 'In the Afterlight', 'Absinthe in Absentia', 'Yours Ever', 'Doors of the Night', 'The Last Romance' and 'Love Me When I Die'. Poems written especially for this collection include: 'Amour sans Espoir', 'Sorry am I', 'Bro ken' and the title poem 'Love Immortal'.

This poetry cycle is divided into 3 stages, with a prologue and epilogue. The three phases of 'LOVE IMMORTAL' are: 'Bound to Love', 'Heartache & Healing' and 'Love Immortal'. The focus of the poems in these parts is loosely indicated by their headings.

Part I, BOUND TO LOVE, journeys into the depths of love and adoration, how a soul can be all-consumed by love, the binding power of infatuation, as inescapable as any shackles or chains. Edouard d'Araille presents love as an unsolvable enigma - pure emotion that cannot be comprehended by reason.

Part II, HEARTACHE & HEALING, travels further toward the heart of love and the experience of emotional pain, even suffering, due to the extent of love. Edouard d'Araille explores the healing nature of love; also how a broken heart itself needs healing, the ability to apologise and forgive.

Finally Part III, LOVE IMMORTAL, ventures on the boundless seas of love and considers how the power of love may transcend time and space, even death, so as to keep lovers together even beyond the mortal coil in which life unfolds. The eternity of love is reflected in poems of profound depth.

The transition through this multi-stage poetic journey of love is rendered even more stimulating and thought-provoking by several dozen specially composed romantic quotes that punctuate the volume from beginning to end, giving new perspectives on the different aspects of love.
