Do we know the truth about who our parents and grandparents were? Can family secrets change the course of our lives? Elena is caring for her grandmother Manuela, who has Alzheimer's. As an act of love, she decides to learn to play the piano and play a tune that reminds her grandmother of the relationship they used to have before she got ill. Soon after starting her lessons, Elena finds unopened letters from more than fifty years ago inside the piano, at the family home. This discovery will make her try to find out who wrote them and why they remained hidden for so long. With the help of Matias, her piano teacher, Elena will open a door to family secrets concealed until now.
