This book is an initial introduction to the life, the epistles and the thoughts of Saint Paul. After a brief panorama of the apostle's existence, it focuses on his letters, one after the other, in a clear and accessible style. The essential passages are commented, a plan of each epistle is provided and most of the difficulties are clarified. To make the reader's role more active and adapt the book for use in study groups, questions come after the explanations to stimulate personal reflection. But this book is also a reading companion for all those without previous historical or theological knowledge who simply wish to read Paul's letters. As a complement and prolongation of this initiatory work, Éditions du Cerf propose another work by the same author in the ‘Fêtes et Saisons' series: ‘Saint Paul.
