L'exposition En toute modestie/Archipel Di Rosa présentée au Musée International des Arts Modestes est en quelque sorte la suite et le contrepoint de Plus jamais seul - Hervé Di Rosa et les arts modestes organisée quelques mois plus tôt par La maison rouge à Paris.

Comme aime à le rappeler Hervé Di Rosa, président et co-fondateur en 2000 du MIAM, il n'y a pas d'artiste modeste, mais
des collections, des regards modestes. Julie Crenn, commissaire de l'exposition, a articulé ces « regards modestes » en un foisonnant archipel où dialoguent les cultures, les géographies, les formes et les langages.

Il ne s'agit donc pas cette fois d'une exposition de l'artiste Hervé Di rosa, mais, « en toute modestie », d'une déambulation libre et joyeuse, sur ses pas, à travers plus de quatre-vingt oeuvres de tous bords, généreux désordre d'influences assumées, d'affinités et d'amitiés...

The exhibition En toute modestie /Archipel Di Rosa (In all modesty / Di Rosa Archipelago) presented at the Musée International des Arts Modestes (International Museum of Modest Arts) is, in a way, the continuation and counterpoint of Plus jamais seul - Hervé Di Rosa et les arts modestes organized a few months earlier by La Maison Rouge in Paris. As Hervé Di Rosa - president and cofounder of MIAM in 2000 - likes to remind us, there are no modest artists, but modest collections and modest viewpoints. Julie Crenn, the exhibition's curator, articulated these « modest viewpoints » in a prolific archipelago where cultures, geography, forms and languages interact.

Therefore this is not an exhibition of the artist Hervé Di Rosa, but, « in all modesty », a free and joyous stroll in his footsteps, through more than eighty works from all kinds of sources, in a generous disorder of acknowledged influences, affinities and friendships.
