At one time, Robert P. Wells was "world famous in Scotland," as the saying goes, a young American author with a rising reputation as a poet and literary critic in the United Kingdom. His poetry ranges from free verse to highly formal traditional structures, from lyrical to narrative poetry, and touches on a disparate number of themes – love, war, divinity, art, mortality, and more. His work was published in a number of British literary journals, and selections have been broadcast on the BBC.
"Journeyman," his collection of selected poems, has been out of print for a number of years. Now it is newly available again in eBook format. Wells is also the author of the novel "Overlord, Underhand," a good old-fashioned ripping yarn about double-agent espionage in WWII.
