Parker snapped out of his daydreaming and walked up to the bar counter with Junior and Laddie going up and sitting on each side of him. The bartender came over to Parker and Parker told him to give him a beer. The bartender looked at the dogs but before he could say anything, a voice from one of the tables spoke out real loud, "hey Joe, since when do we allow rat hounds in the saloon?" Parker watched the bartender just stand there staring at the other side of the room, but not saying a word. Parker slowly turned to find the source of the voice. A big man at one of the tables looked at Parker and said in a loud drunken voice, "that's right, rat hounds I said. "This big man looked at two men sitting at his table and they all laughed. Parker thought to himself, not again. Not another killing! Parker then placed his rifle up against the bar counter and walking towards this man telling his dogs to stay. When he reached this big man's table he looked down at the man. Not saying a word to the man, in the next three seconds there was just a flashing of Parker's hands and the big man was on the bar floor face down, out cold. One of the men sitting with the big man made a move towards Parker, and in the next two seconds he was out cold on the barroom floor.
