Omschrijving

The plant Kyllinga Monocephala is more or less glabrous Belongs to family Cyperaceae is called as Anuang & Nirbishi in Hindi and Bandar Phool in Chhattishgarhi. This plant is used for treatment of pain, dirrhoea, measles, fistula, pustules, tumours, epilepsy, liver complaints and eye releted problems. In present study methanolic extract of plant is used for its anthelimintic property. In this book the Anthelimintic activity was evaluated on adult Indian Earth worms (pheretima posthuma). Albendazole suspension was used as standard and antheliminitc potenitial of plant extract was evaluavated at three different concentratons. And found that methanolic extract of plant Kyllinga monocephala contain significant and dose dependent antheliminitc activity.
