The man in the dumpster is half-dead, covered in fresh wounds and old scars. He refuses to go to a doctor or the police. And he has no memory of what happened to him.
Seeing no other option, Alex brings the man home with him. He treats his wounds and soothes his nightmares. He assures him his memory will come back eventually—and even if it doesn't, would that be so bad? He has a safe place to stay, and Alex finally has someone to take care of.
But what if his memory does start coming back? What if he starts thinking he doesn't need Alex anymore?
Alex will just have to make sure he doesn't go anywhere. For his own good.
