Overview of the SS and Police Leader Role: The Designation SS and Police Leader (German SS-und Polizeifuhrer) was assigned to senior officials withing the Nazi regime who led the SS (Schutzstaffel) and the Ordnungspolizei (regular police). This position was created to consolidate authority over the police and SS forces, especially in the period leading up to and during World War II. The Higher SS and Police Leaders (HSSPF) were appointed to manage these forces in designated geographical regions, reporting directly to Heinrich Himmler, the Reichsfuhrer and Adolf Hitler.

The book covers many biographies of high ranking SS and Police Leaders including Theodor Eicke, Otto Hofmann, Wilhelm Koppe, Wilhelm Fuchs, Erich von dem Bach-Zelewski and many more. Many will be executed at the wars end for crimes against humanity.
