Once each year I left my life behind me and went out into the mountains, onto a month long hiking trip. I loved those trips, and when I was single I did them all on my own. It was on one of those single trips that I ran into a local at a bar, and he told me about a beautiful remote mountain meadow. A place more beautiful than those in some fairy tales, and far far away from everything resembling a thing called tourism. I was hooked, I needed to go there, and I totally ignored the strangers warning, that there was a witch, an evil woman living up there. Luckily the woman wasn't that evil at all, she was a little bit harsh, she loved calling the shots, and in the end thirty three year old me and fifty six year old her became a thing.
