Nadiri, a western lowland gorilla living at Seattle's Woodland Park Zoo, was herself born in a zoo, and after her mother rejected her, she was hand-raised by zookeepers. When she had a baby late in 2015, she wasn't sure how to be a mother. But her baby needed her--gorilla babies learn how to be gorillas when they're raised by gorillas.
