L'exposition de Florence Chevallier, par son titre, « Les Fleurs, le Chien et les Pêcheurs », se présente comme une fable, comme un récit allégorique. L'artiste signale ainsi combien ses images photographiques, loin de toute anecdote, ne renvoient pas directement au réel mais, toujours construites - parfois jouées, parfois saisies, parfois recomposées -, sont porteuses d'un autre sens, usant du monde comme d'un univers de signes et de symboles.
Through its title - Les Fleurs, le Chien et les Pêcheurs (Flowers, Dogs and Fishermen) - Florence Chevallier's exhibition presents itself as a fable or an allegorical story. Here, the artist highlights the extent to which her photographic images, far from all references do not directly refer to reality, but are always constructed, sometimes acted, sometimes captured from real life, or sometimes recomposed, and therefore have another meaning, making use of the world as a universe of signs and symbols.
