This short book unites seven case studies from Africa, Europe, and the Americas to offer new solution-oriented ways of thinking about seemingly insurmountable social problems. These solution-oriented ways of thinking, as detailed in each of the seven case study chapters, emphasize how understanding the micro-dynamics of conflicts (and their rootedness in local sociocultural and associated institutional norms) is essential to developing ethical and pro-social responses to global social problems.
