Coastal Flooding is a great problem for coastal areas people of Bangladesh. The intensity of coastal flooding is increasing more in recent days and ultimately occurring great suffering to coastal areas people s life. By this research in a specific area of south western part of Bangladesh was tried to find out about impact of Coastal flood s present condition, changing pattern, diffusion and its impact on environment and human life. The study found that in maximum case, coastal flooding are happening by the river, intensity of coastal flooding is increasing gradually, preparedness is not enough, the duration of coastal flood within 5-7 days, the environment is deteriorating day by day because of coastal flooding especially through the salinity intrusion and so on. As a result, ecosystem, agriculture and fresh water crisis are going to extreme condition. Some steps can be taken to adapt and minimize of coastal flooding which are- better warning systems, building dams & sea defenses, government should emphasize building more embankments. This research will be more helpful for those who are interested to carry out research about coastal flooding.
