Los terrores de la infancia, la educación estricta y constreñida, el proceso de aprendizaje, la aparición de la literatura, los descubrimientos mínimos, las transformaciones del cuerpo, la salida de la casa familiar y los tropiezos del amor están narrados por la protagonista de esta historia con emotivo y sincero orgullo.

ENGLISH DESCRIPTION

In this moving story, described by the author as a "false autobiography", a girl born in a society with a huge appreciation for beauty discovers that she is considered ugly.

While God, religion, illness, love, and death emerge from a reality perhaps more bitter than imagined, the protagonist, despite her uncertainties and fears, manages to overcome this early perception of her thanks to the stimulation of the written word and to an innate and imaginative rebellion.

The protagonist narrates with emotional and genuine pride about her childhood fears, a strict and restricted upbringing, the learning process, her introduction to literature, small discoveries, body changes, leaving the family home, and the obstacles of love.
