Alberto Espinoza's son is the head of the Marxist organization that kidnapped a powerful union leader. Espinoza, a retired colonel of the Ecuadorian army brings the information to Captain Ernesto Guillén of the Policía Nacional, with a proposal. He will reveal the kidnapped leader's location if Guillén promises to arrest his son without harming him.
