A cette école donc on a misé sur un art dont la principale ressource est la recherche de la souplesse du tracé.

Ainsi, c'est à la résille de plomb qu'incombe la délicate fonction, en sertissant chaque parcelle de verre, de créer un dessin agréable à regarder. Pourtant la fonction de ces vitraux n'est pas seulement d'embellir. Sous leur obligation d'être décoratifs et de « faire joli », ils cachent en fait une évocation, en images, du mystère de l'Eglise. Car ces vitraux forment une sorte de texte écrit en verre...
