Unternehmerfamilien werden in der wissenschaftlichen Betrachtung ambivalent beschrieben: Sie können aufgrund ihres hohen Konfliktpotenzials sowohl Ressource als auch Gefahr sein für das eigene Unternehmen. Juliane Wegner hat diese Ambiguität der Unternehmerfamilie zum Anlass genommen zu untersuchen, wie die Entstehung von Konflikten aus strukturtheoretischer Perspektive in diesem besonderen Familientypus erklärt werden kann. Im Ergebnis konnte ein unausweichlicher Strukturkonflikt als universelles Herausstellungsmerkmal der Unternehmerfamilie identifiziert werden, welcher die familiale Praxis und damit auch die Entstehung von Konflikten mitstrukturiert.

Entrepreneurial families are described ambivalently in scientific observation: They can be both a resource and a danger for their own company due to their high conflict potential. Juliane Wegner has taken this ambiguity of the entrepreneurial family as an opportunity to pursue the question of how the emergence of conflicts can be explained from a structure-theoretical perspective in this particular type of family. As a result, an inescapable structural conflict could be identified as a universal salient feature of the entrepreneurial family, which co-structures family practice and thus also the emergence of conflicts.
