A wonderful collection of poems by famous British author and poet Thomas Hardy. The poems include: `Wessex Poems' (1898), `Poems of the Past and Present' (1902), `Time's Laughingstocks' (1909), `Satires and Circumstance' (1914), `Moments of Vision' (1917), `Late Lyrics and Earlier' (1922), `Human Shows' (1925) and `Winter Words' (1928). Thomas Hardy (1840 - 1928) was an English novelist and poet. He was heavily influenced by Romanticism, particularly the work of William Wordsworth. He deeply disliked much of Victorian society, but in his writing concentrated on the idea of a decaying rural society. Although most famous for his novels, Hardy always considered himself a poet first and foremost. Other notable works by this author include: "Far from the Madding Crowd" (1874), "The Return of the Native" (1878), and "The Mayor of Casterbridge" (1886). Many vintage books such as this are becoming increasingly scarce and expensive. It is with this in mind that we are republishing this volume now in a modern, high-quality edition complete with the original text and artwork.
