Peintre voyageur, Christoff Debusschere révèle dans cet ouvrage ses dernières escales maritimes ainsi qu'une orientation plus intimiste, développée à partir de son atelier basé à Saint-Hilaire, dans l'Essonne. Si le canal de Panama et Djakarta firent partie de ses destinations, le clair-obscur de son port d'attache entra en résonance avec ses origines flamandes, sa maison acquise en 2006 ayant entièrement été aménagée pour devenir un sujet pictural. Ce parcours s'échelonne entre 2005 et 2022 ponctué par deux entretiens avec le peintre.

As a painter-traveller, Christoff Debusschere-reveals in this book his latest ports of call, as well as a more intimate orientation, developed from his studio at Saint-Hilaire, in the Essonne département. If the Panama Canal and Djakarta were two of his destinations, the chiaroscuro of his home port resonated with his Flemish origins, his house, acquired in 2006, having been entirely-arranged to become a subject of his paintings. The book traces his career between 2005 and 2022 and includes two interviews with the painter.
